Joseph Enzama Agondua tied Knot with kuonziru Veronica.

It was joy and happiness at Holy Trinity, Catholic Parish, Mingoro as Joseph Enzama Agondua tied Knot with kuonziru Veronica. The ceremony was presided over by Rt.Rev.Sabino Ocan Odoki, the Bishop of Arua Diocese and graced by religious leaders, politicians, relatives and friends who witnessed the couple assume a noble obligation under the holy sacrament of matrimony.

Bishop Sabino while reflecting on the readings of the day called on the couple to be imitators of God to have a peaceful and a happy family. He mentioned that just as the holy trinity is three in one, and Jesus is the head of the church, the family should also be one with the father as the head. He noted that this should not make the woman feel any less important because they have different roles.

"The book of Ecclesiasticus tells us about the joy of marriage. Happy husband of a good wife, twice-lengthened are his days. This book continues to say A loyal wife brings joy to her husband, and he will finish his years in peace and this is vice versa, though the book of Ecclesiasticus emphasizes mostly the quality of a good wife.

In the Gospel, we also see the importance that Jesus put to marriage life, the gospel of John tells us that Jesus performed the first miracle at a wedding in cana, this shows to all of us the importance of family life. We are told that he was not yet ready to start his mission but his mother noticed that the wedding was sort of wine. Mother Mary wanted Jesus to do something , it was not very easy as it was a tough talk but nevertheless Jesus accepted the challenge and this became his first miracle. What we hear that Jesus did was enormous, there were six extremely huge jars, filled with wine. This is the symbol of Joy that Jesus wanted them to have. He wanted the joy of the family to go on and on and on.
St.Paul in his letter to the Ephitians , is telling us how marriage can last forever, he says be imitators of God as beloved children and live in love. The key to a successful family life is to imitate God and live in love, imitators of God how, the way Christ loves us, the way Christ loves the church so much that he cannot separate himself from the Church.

We can also learn from the Holy Trinity being as one, the family must also be one. Each playing their roles to the best of their ability, in the family if that happens, there will be peace, there will be happiness in the family. The icon of family life is the Holy Family of Nazareth. If we also imitate the life of the Holy Family of Nazareth , there will also be perfect love in the family. So by wedding , you become an icon of God' perfect love, you are living like the Trinity amongst us, you are living like Christ with the church.

St.Pauls also helps the married couple to relate well by referring to the husband as head of the family. We all have roles and these do not make us any less , being God, the Father, the Son and the Spirit does not make one less. Because they are one. The husband has a role to be head of the family , just as Christ also is the head of the Church, it doesn't make one less, instead it provides strength. The mother does not become any less, think of Mother Mary, the greatest of all the saints. The way we respect her is not like for any other saint. St.Paul continues to say , husbands should love their wifes as themselves. If the husband is to love his wife as his own body means the two are one. ", Said the Bishop.
